CDBaby's Shift: No Longer Managing Artist Channels on YouTube

In a recent announcement, CDBaby revealed that they will no longer manage official artist channels on YouTube. This change took effect in March 2025, and the company has stated that they will notify clients if this functionality is reinstated in the future.

Although CDBaby has declined significantly in recent years, existing artists with official channels on YouTube can still use the platform for music distribution. CDBaby will continue to distribute and publish official audio tracks as 'art tracks' on YouTube, as well as monetize eligible music through the Content ID.

We understand that this change may cause inconvenience for some artists, but we want to assure our community that CDBaby's decision will not affect their ability to distribute music through our platform.
